Kudos for Landing Book Deals!

I am so happy to know some folks who have books coming out or that have recently been published. It gives the rest of us hope. These people have achieved these successes through a lot of hard work as they honed their craft. I love that writers celebrate other writers. It truly is a community of creatives where folks are willing to help others succeed, too. How lovely to experience this!

If you are browsing your independent bookstores, which are on the rise (hooray!), check out these books!

  • Billu Buttons , illustrated by Delzin Choksey, a picture book written by Gus Singh about a confident Sikh boy who learns about self-acceptance

  • Reasons to Hate Me by Susan Metallo-a YA novel about a neurodivergent queer nerd girl.

  • Salvación by Sandra Proudman-a Latinx YA fantasy where Lola de La Perla becomes the masked heroine, Salvación

  • Seth Mueller- Misfit and Here’s to the Silly Ones by Lucky Rabbit

There are a lot of fascinating books out there for all ages! Happy Reading!
